MR.DERO started djing in 1997. He is known for his unique dancefloor filling sets, which reach from hip hop over reggae, dancehall and dub, funk, soul and breaks to uptempo big beats and electro, with a lot of turntablism elements – all in a mix that garantees to make the whole club shake. He stands out from other deejays and performers with his variety of live elements, wether as a wizzkid on his MPC or with live musicians, and his collection of just the best in clubmusic there is.

Being part of Tiefparterre right from the beginning, he founded the turntablism crew „ghostfaders“, together with his dj collegue Amtrak in 2000, who was known for their creative and musical sets on four turntables. In 2002 he won the statewide DJ-Contest02.

Since then Dero has rocked clubnights every week all over Austria and Europe and has performed with or shared stages and dj-booths with numberous artists and bands like Guru´s Jazzmatazz, Delinquent Habits, Dorfmeister, Bonobo, Smith & Mighty, Krafty Kuts, Dj Vadim, Alice Russel, JStar, Beardyman, JFB, DJ DSL, Beginner, Eins Zwo, Waxolutionists, Marc Hype, Dj Flip, Princess Superstar, Kid Fresh, and many more. He has had special appearances at the succesfull „Battlejam“ nights with Beardyman, JFB, Klumzy Tung and Ed Solo in different cities in England and Austria.

Since 2000 he has produced an unique sound, which, being based on hip hop, branches out in many different directions. He produced parts of Tiefparterre´s first Battlewax `Robot Breakz/ Echo Vibes´ and won FM4´s Remix Contest in 2004 with his version of Louis Austin´s `Lookin for Love´. Not only since then he is known for his fine remixing skills, which he has proven numerous times until today. In 2005 he realeased his own DJ-Vinyl, Tiefparterre´s `Battlewax Vol2 - A Salute to real Dj´s´, on which Waxolutionists´ DJ Buzz produced the flipside.

Dero has made various own and compiled mixtapes, like the well known „Butterbar“-series and has produced music for national television projects, DVD productions for skateboard- and surfvideos and computergames. Now with "The Little Things EP" together with Klumzy Tung and Farina Miss, Kompact and Beardyman, the next big release is coming its way! Watch out for that unique mixture of hip hop, rap, soul, skanks, big beat and more as an appatizer of their upcoming albums!
